Galen, a Syrena prince, searches land for a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. It’s while Emma is on vacation at the beach that she meets Galen. Although their connection is immediate and powerful, Galen's not fully convinced that Emma's the one he's been looking for. That is, until a deadly encounter with a shark proves that Emma and her Gift may be the only thing that can save his kingdom. He needs her help--no matter what the risk.

Review:

Put a world of merfolk, a prince who is sexy and is used to getting people to listen to him, and a unique girl who would rather die than to follow orders.... annnnd you have a freaking funny and cute book.

I enjoyed this book the whole time and I could never put it down. I liked how Anna Banks wrote a whole new version of the mermaid's legends.

The relationship with Galen and Emma was at first infuriating because it took them so long to figure out what the other felt for them. But their relationship between those two is so great and their little bickers are what I loved the most. Another relationship I loved was the one between Toraf and Rayna. Their relationship was definitely rocky at first but with the help of Emma, it turned out freaking great.

Talking about the help of Emma, the scene where it happens is too funny that I want to share it with everyone... but I can't. ):

This book was a great read and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun summer read.
