Title: The Vincent Brothers
Author: Abbi Glines
Published: June 2012
Pages: Kindle Edition, 352 pages

5/5 STARS

He may have given her up without a fight, but Sawyer Vincent is far from over losing the girl he’s loved all of his life. Instead of giving up his best friend and the girl he thought he’d spend forever with, he gave Ashton and his brother Beau his blessing. However, adjusting to seeing Ashton wrapped up in Beau’s arms isn’t easy. Complicating everything even more, Ashton’s cousin Lana is in town for the summer. Sweet, kind, soft-spoken Lana, who gets under his skin. Just being near her makes him forget all about Ashton and his broken heart. Lana is everything he wanted Ashton to be except she isn’t Ashton. She lacks the backbone to stand up for herself and confidence that Ashton wears like a crown.

Lana McDaniel has lived her life in her cousin's shadow. While Lana struggled with her grades no matter how hard she tried, her mother praised Ashton's intelligence. She hadn’t been blessed with Ashton’s blond hair and flawless skin, but that didn't keep her mother from lamenting her naturally red hair and freckles. But none of that would have mattered if Ashton hadn’t always had Sawyer Vincent wrapped around her finger -- the only boy Lana wanted. Once Ashton let Sawyer go, Lana had been so sure that he’d move on. Determined to make Sawyer finally see her, she'd talked her mother into letting her spend the summer with Ashton. But Sawyer is still in love with Ashton, and Lana isn’t going to be anyone's rebound girl. No matter how yummy Sawyer Vincent’s kisses taste.

Review:

AWWWW... That was so cute! Abbi Glines has written another amazing love story. In the Vincent Boys, this second book was told in Lana's, Ashton's cousin, point of view and Sawyer's.

Just like any other relationship, Sawyer and Lana were like a rollercoaster. But I COMPLETELY FELL IN LOVE WITH THEM, just like I did with Beau and Ash. I also loved that in this book you got to know Sawyer more personally and see how he's dealing with everything. And that we got to know more about Lana, she's great and I love that she doesn't any bullshit.

This book never let me down. At first I thought it wasn't going to grip me since it wasn't in Beau and Ash's point of view, but I was definetely wrong. The Vincent Brothers was fantastic.

Title: While it Lasts
Author: Abbi Glines
Release Date: August 7, 2012

Maybe driving home after a few (or more) shots of tequila had been a bad idea, but hell, he did it all the time. The cops had to have been freaking bored to have pulled him over. He wasn’t even swerving! That’s Cage York’s story and he’s sticking to it.

Unfortunately, his baseball coach isn’t buying it. Cage has a free ride to the local junior college for baseball -- or he did, until he’d gotten a DUI. Now, Cage has to decide: does he drop out and give up his dream of getting noticed by a college in the SEC, and possibly making it into the Major Leagues -- or does he give in to his coach’s demands and spend his summer bailing hay?

Eva Brooks planned out her life step by step when she was eight years old. Not once over the years had she lost sight of her goals. Josh Beasley, her next door neighbor, had been the center of those goals. He’d been her first boyfriend at seven, her first kiss at ten, her first date at fifteen, and her first tragedy at eighteen. The moment she’d received the phone call from Josh’s mother saying he’d been killed along with four other soldiers just north of Baghdad, Eva’s carefully planned life imploded in the worst way possible.

Cage isn’t real happy with his closet-sized bedroom in the back of a foul smelling barn, or his daily interactions with cows, but he knows that if he doesn’t make his coach happy then he can kiss his scholarship goodbye. Only a sick and twisted man would decide his punishment was to be working on a farm all summer. No hot babes in bikinis waiting to meet a Southern boy to make her vacation complete. Just him and the damned cows.

Oh -- and an uptight, snarky brunette with the biggest blue eyes he’s every seen. But she doesn’t count, because as hard as he’s tried to charm her out of her panties - he’s pretty sure she’d rather see him hung from the rafters than let him get a taste of her pretty little lips.

Author: Claire Laebnik
Published: August 2nd 2011 by HarperTeen
Pages: Paperback, 295 pages

5/5 STARS

At Coral Tree Prep in Los Angeles, who your parents are can make or break you. Cast in point:

- As the son of Hollywood royalty, Derek Edwards is pretty much prince of the school - not that he deigns to acknowledge many of his loyal subjects.
- As the daughter of the new principal, Elise Benton isn't exactly on everyone's must-sit-next-to-at-lunch list.

When Elise's beautiful sister catches the eye of the prince's best friend, Elise gets to spend a lot of time with Derek, making her the envy of every girl on campus. Except she refuses to fall for any of his rare smiles and instead warms up to his enemy, the surprisingly charming social outcast Webster Grant. But in this hilarious tale of fitting in and flirting, not all snubs are undeserved, not all celebrity brats are bratty, and pride and prejudice can get in the way of true love for only so long.

Review:

Claire LaZebnik has written a modern reinterpretation of Pride and Prejudice. This book was cute and a fun read.

Derek and Elise are total opposites, but they have such a cute relationship. Elise is someone who tells people what she thinks while Derek is someone who keeps to himself. Their relationship was definitely hot then cold then hot then cold then hot..... I do wish that the book was longer so we could have read more of them together.

This book never had any boring parts which made me want to never put it down, I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance that isn't too lovey-dovey and that love fun books.

She's writing about him. he's writing about her. And everybody is reading between the lines..

Now Erin has to win an internship and work late nights at a coffee shop to make her own dreams a reality. She should despise Hunter . . . so why does he sneak into her thoughts as the hero of her latest writing assignment?

Then, on the day she's sharing that assignment with her class, Hunter walks in. He's joining her class. And after he reads about himself in her story, her private fantasies about him must be painfully clear. She only hopes to persuade him not to reveal her secret to everyone else. But Hunter devises his own creative revenge, writing sexy stories that drive the whole class wild with curiosity and fill Erin's heart with longing. Now she's not just imagining what might have been. She's writing a whole new ending for her romance with Hunter . . . except this story could come true.

Review:

This book was really good and I did not put it down until I finished it.

Erin is a rich girl gone broke after her grandmother cut her off, after Erin announced she did not want to take over the farm when she's older. However that did not stop her from working hard and going after what she truly wants. It is the main reason why she is a great character.

The relationship between Erin and her stable boy, Hunter, is definitely rocky. They flirt with each other but yet they keep getting angry and getting revenge on one another. Their relationship is certainly exhausting, but I love them together and I love their whole teasing thing.

Even though I absolutely loved this book, I cannot give it 5 stars because of the ending. The ending was empty and also seemed rushed. Things were left unresolved and it left me unsatisfied. If there was a sequel to this book to finish the things that were left unfinished then the ending would be acceptable.

5/5 STARS

Brace yourself for the battle of the exes...

Hayden and Nick used to be a hot item, but their brief affair ended with a highly publicized breakup. Now the two are "just friends," excluding the occasional flirtation.

Hayden calls Nick's bluff and challenges him to a head-to-head boarding contest. Their mutual friends quickly take sides, the girls on Hayden's and the boys on Nick's, making for an all-out battle of the sexes. This friendly competition is bound to get heated—and they might end up igniting some old flames.

Review:

Put some sexual tension, a battle of sexes and a battle of exes, and you get a book you will not want to put down. Jennifer Echols is an amazing author.

Hayden and Nick have been insulting and teasing each other ever since their breakup four years ago. Since Hayden's two best friends are dating Nick's two best friends, everyone has been watching and waiting for those two to get back together. And I was definitely one of those people. I love their relationship, it's obvious they should be together. Between those two it was a real rollercoaster.

I am a big feminist so I love books that talk about battle about of the sexes (like in the book Shut Out written by Kody Keplinger) and girls challenging boys to prove they could do anything.

Title: Dark Kiss (Nightwatcher #1)
Author: Michelle Rowen
Published: May 29, 2012 by Harlequin Teen
Pages: Paperback, 348 pages

3/5 STARS

I don't do dangerous. Smart, ĂĽber-careful, ordinary Samantha-that's me. But I just couldn't pass up a surprise kiss from my number-one unattainable crush. A kiss that did something to me...something strange. Now I feel hungry all the time, but not for food. It's like part of me is missing-and I don't know if I can get it back.

Then there's Bishop. At first I thought he was just a street kid, but the secrets he's keeping are as intense as his unearthly blue eyes. If he's what I think he is, he may be the only one who can help me. But something terrifying is closing in, and the one chance Bishop and I have to stop it means losing everything I ever wanted and embracing the darkness inside me....

Description: www.goodreads.com

Review:

Dark Kiss was a good read about enemies coming together to fight something worse, and was action-packed.

Samantha is a regular and sarcastic teen who learns many secrets she never knew about herself and her family. I liked her character because when she came face-to-face with a demon she never acted scared or weak. Although, the girl has got to stop screaming everytime someone gets stabbed.

I love Bishop but I can sense there is going to be a love triangle in the future. I'll be sure to read the next book, Wicked Kiss. Hopefully we'll meet the father, because I'm really looking forward to seeing him.

Title: A Midsummer's Nightmare
Author: Kody Keplinger
Published: June 5, 2012 by Poppy
Pages: Hardcover, 304 pages

5/5 STARS

Whitley Johnson's dream summer with her divorcé dad has turned into a nightmare. She's just met his new fiancée and her kids. The fiancée's son? Whitley's one-night stand from graduation night. Just freakin' great.

Worse, she totally doesn't fit in with her dad's perfect new country-club family. So Whitley acts out. She parties. Hard. So hard she doesn't even notice the good things right under her nose: a sweet little future stepsister who is just about the only person she's ever liked, a best friend (even though Whitley swears she doesn't "do" friends), and a smoking-hot guy who isn't her stepbrother...at least, not yet. It will take all three of them to help Whitley get through her anger and begin to put the pieces of her family together.

Filled with authenticity and raw emotion, Whitley is Kody Keplinger's most compelling character to date: a cynical Holden Caulfield-esque girl you will wholly care about.

Description: www.goodreads.com

Review:

Kody Keplinger has done it again! She turned a story fimiliar to teens and turned it into a fantastic read. She is an amazing writer and I couldn't put A Midsummer's Nightmare down.

Whitley is a teen who faces problems with her parents after they got a divorce and it results by her drinking and partying to get her mind off of things and be happy. This character reflects many teens that have the similiar problem."Whitley is Kody Keplinger's most compelling character to date: a cynical Holden Caulfield-esque girl you will wholly care about." I really did and I just loved her character. One of my favorite scenes with her is when she has a breakdown with her father near the end, which actually made me get a tear.

"The fiancĂ©e's son? Whitley's one-night stand from graduation night." Whoa! That part just made the book way more interesting. There was definitely some tension, which just made everything so funny. I fell in love with those two and Keplinger managed to not make things weird, since Nathan and Whitley are future stepbrother and sister.

In this book we got appearances from characters from Kody Keplinger's first novel, The Duff. We had a small scene with Wesley and Bianca bickering and being cute, I MISS THEM SO MUCH. We also had Harrison who is one of the main characters in this book. I definitely loved that we finally got to know him (he's freaking awesome) since in The Duff we only knew him as Wesley's gay best friend.

I recommend this book and all of the other novels written by Kody Keplinger, to anybody who wants to read fun and great novels.

Wow, Chloe is a BITCH! Let's just say that she planned a killer movie night. Alright, onto the book. It was good. There was a lot of confusion with Logan and happy news about Marshall. The romance in this book is also turning in my favours which makes me freaking happy :)

The ending in this book is again another cliffhanger like the rest of the books in this series, which just makes me eager to see what happens in the seventh book in the series, Toxic, which is not out yet.

Review:

Vex was good but it wasn't memorable. Everything was pretty much the same from the previous book. The only thing that was different was the winter formal scene. What a dance! So many things happened on that one night and I found them all exciting.

The ending of this book was schocking and confusing so I will be moving on to the next book in the Celestra.
